Some Small Changes In Your Lifestyle To Weight Loss

Rapid weight loss diets can be unbalanced and unhealthy, and the key to real weight loss is to remember that there are no shortcuts. Weight loss is a struggle, and will continue to be difficult for many dieters, despite new fad diets and quick-fix formulas. Long-term weight loss requires persistence and discipline. By making some small changes in your lifestyle, it is possible to burn more calories and be healthy.

1. Intake of protein rich foods such as egg whites, cottage cheese, fish and yogurt, helps in keeping the body full for longer periods of time, thus aiding in lesser calorie intak. Another benefit of proteins is that they help in the building of muscles, which is very essential for the fat burning process.

2. It is better for you to eat smaller meals more frequently throughout the day. Eating six small and well balanced meals will raise metabolism. The body will not cling to calories if it knows food is regularly coming.

3. The grapefruit diet plan introduces a jump-start program with the main ingredient grapefruit. Many versions of this diet are circulating the Web, and while there is some science to back the benefits of grapefruit (a study from a 2006 issue of the “Journal of Medicinal Food” revealed that people who ate half a grapefruit before each meal for 12 weeks lost 3.6 pounds), the weight loss in these individuals may have also been a result of smart food choices and exercise.

4. A careful diet is only the first part of the weight loss equation; the other part is physical activity and exercise. You do not have to join a gym or do any formal training; any physical activity is beneficial for your weight loss efforts provided that you do it regularly. For example do not underestimate the benefits of walking in losing weight. Walking is easy to do and can do wonders to your weight loss.

5. If the body does not have much water, the liver has to work extra to help kidneys eliminate wastes. This makes the liver less effective in metabolizing the stored fat in the body, hence causing weight gain. So, drink lots of water to counter this situation. In fact starting your day with a glass of water in which half a lemon has been squeezed and half teaspoon honey added.

6. Reading labels is vital. Companies put a lot of effort into making their food products look appealing. If a package proclaims that it has no fat, check for sugar. Many times manufacturers will load food with sugar to maintain taste. If there is a ton of sugar, remember that the sugar will turn into fat.

If you’re like many of us, you’re either starting to lose steam, or have lost it altogether when it comes to following through on that New Year’s Resolution. But, if you had a lot of fat to burn on January 1st, you probably still do now. Since you probably still have little time dedicate to the treadmill or elliptical machine, you need some new information.

The good news is, more and more trainers and fat loss experts are now making their expertise available through inexpensive and easily downloadable e-books. No longer do you have to shop for that highly recommended personal trainer and shell out $100 an hour for the privilege of being barked at by a virtual fitness model. You can avoid the judgmental eyes from the crowds at the local gym, and skip getting roped into a membership that you’ll only use for a month or two before getting frustrated.

The Fat Burning Furnace is one such program to check out. Like most effective programs these days, it pays as much attention to what you put in to your body as how you exercise it. Losing fat by eating right and exercising effectively and efficiently may not be as dazzling as the latest infomercial gizmo that promises flat, trim abs in two weeks or less, but long term results come from having the right information and applying it; not from the latest gimmick that will eventually end up gathering dust after you cast it aside due to boredom and frustration.

You can save yourself some time, money and aggravation by educating yourself on the principles of fat loss. Doing this before plowing into a killer workout routine should greatly improve your chances of success. The Fat Burning Furnace is an inexpensive way to educate yourself and rekindle your weight loss resolution. Groundhog day may be upon us, but that doesn’t mean you need to suffer six more weeks of frustration! Decide now to educate yourself in some lifelong nutrition and proper exercise techniques that will ensure that you’ll never have to make a weight loss resolution again.

Build Muscle And Lose Fat

If you want to lose the most weight in the shortest amount of time then you need to build muscle and burn fat at the same time. There is a lot of talk, and quite a few theories out there about how to lose weight and I have seen and tried them all. There are low fat, low protein, low salt and all other kinds of diets that you can try but let me tell you from experience, if you are trying to cut body fat and keep it off for the long run you can toss these theories out the window. I tend to think about weight loss as a simple mathematical formula, calories in, calories out. If you can keep this simple fact in mind then you will be successful in the weight loss game.

Let’s say that you need 3,000 calories a day to maintain your current weight. If you cut 1,000 calories a day from your diet (this would be about as much as you would ever really want to cut) you would effectively lose 2 pounds a week. It doesn’t matter if you are eating 2,000 calories worth of vegetables or 2,000 calories worth of lard a day, the calorie deficit will guarantee that you will lose weight. Of course I’m not advocating that you should eat an unhealthy diet, but there is no reason to become a vegan just to lose weight. Eat healthy, but you can give yourself a little leeway if you want a treat, just cut the calories from another part of the day. Build Muscle And Lose Fat

If you are able to keep this in mind then here is another fun fact. You don’t need to cut all 1,000 calories from your diet to maintain the deficit that we are talking about. If you cut 500 calories from your diet and pick up your fat burning processes by building some muscle you will greatly increase your weight loss efforts. Just make sure that you are feeding your muscle and not your fat and you will be happy with your weight loss efforts. That is the way you build muscle and lose fat, a one two punch that will knock you fat out once and for all. Build Muscle And Lose Fat
